My journey into knife sharpening began nearly 50 years ago. My grandfather and uncle, who worked as carpenters (later, I joined them as well), constantly needed razor-sharp cutting tools \u2013 knives, chisels, and other instruments. As a young boy, I watched in awe as they transformed dull blades into sharp tools by rubbing them against a stone. It seemed like magic. My grandfather taught me early on that using a dull knife is more likely to result in injury than using a sharp one, sparking a lifelong fascination with sharpening.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Under my grandfather\u2019s and uncle\u2019s guidance, I learned the proper way to hold a knife, the right movements to use, and the importance of maintaining the correct sharpening
angle. I discovered that every knife \u2013 whether it\u2019s a chef\u2019s knife or a hunting knife \u2013 requires a unique approach and precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, my experience grew. At first, I sharpened knives for my own use. Later, friends, hunting companions, and acquaintances who relied on sharp knives for their work started seeking my help. With the advent of the internet, I also explored international knife-sharpening techniques and tools used in different cultures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
